A lifetime of memories

In my solo exhibition “Faces and memories” (Helsinki 2020) I was looking at changes that have happened during my lifetime, in particular how our originally private sphere of contacts and memories has become mixed within a public sphere. Apart from two installations, visions from 1979 and 2019, I displayed a set of new prints, each somehow linked to a specific year.

In 1955, I was not yet born, it was the year when my parents got married and traveled north, to the mountains of Lapland.
