With the work Reconciliation (when the wind moves the hair but you don’t notice it) I have depicted how the possibility of reconciliation approaches a person stealthily, like the wind that moves your hair without you noticing it. The liberating energy of reconciliation beckons in secret, yet in our consciousness it appears as something impossible. Here I have been reflecting on whether a painting could make something unconscious visible—those faint vibrations whose nature we do not yet understand.

The image sections at both ends of the work were created using tools developed by Hannu Töyrylä, and they are variations of my earlier paintings.
